Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is well-known for his part in the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. The characters he has played on television have gained him a lot of attention. He has the ability to portray both characters from the side of police officers and other. That's what has made him so popular. He played the part of a serial murderer in his debut television show however he later chose to play the role that of a NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's been awarded many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is known for his blue-piercing eyes that have been an iconic feature and have helped to in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. He was featured in 2006 when he appeared on People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
